The 2024 Annual Academic Conference of the China Society for Hydropower Engineering (CSHE), also?the?Hydropower Development Conference,?opened in Changsha on June 13^th.?Themed?"Promoting the Development of Clean Energy Base and Boosting?the Construction of?Innovative Energy System", the conference aimed?to promote sci-tech?innovation in the hydropower and new energy sectors, as well as the high-quality development of the industry.

Xia Gang, chairman of Wuling Power, presided over?the opening ceremony. Chen Haibin, deputy general manager of the State Power Investment Corporation (SIPC), attended and delivered a speech. More than 1,200 representatives from over 300 domestic institutions?in?the water conservancy and hydropower industry?participated in the conference.

The first Hydropower and New Energy Technology and Equipment Exhibition was held during the conference, displaying cutting-edge products and technologies and innovative solutions.?More than 60 well-known?enterprises and manufacturers displayed their products and technologies.

SPIC Wuling Power was in the spotlight at the exhibition and caught the eyes of experts for its four innovation?achievements?and nine sci-tech?innovative products.

The four innovation?achievements?are: construction of intelligent new energy stations, remote centralized control of cross-basin hydropower stations, intelligent hydropower operation and maintenance system, and, technological research on capacity expansion and efficiency improvement of hydropower units. The?nine sci-tech?innovative products?included: deceives?for on-line spectrum?monitoring of transformer oil, early warning device?based on radar-camera?fusion, and on-line monitoring device?for power equipment.

For example, the local press Hunan Daily published an article titled?"Hunan’s Hydropower Ushers in New Stage, Achieving Remarkable Results in Digitalization and Intelligence —?Wuling Power’s?Hydropower Operation and Maintenance System Leads the World".
